Level 1 – Beginner: Tai Chi Basics: Mind, Posture, Breathing, Tai Chi Walking (Walking like a cat,猫步), Standing meditation (浑圆桩), Hand, Stance etc. Five loosening exercises. Completion of Yang style foundation form.
Level 2: Continue to practice and refine the content learned from the Level 1 course. Completion of Yang style foundation form – mirror image. Introduction of Push Hands – Single hand drill.
Level 3: Continue to practice and refine the content learned from the Level 1 and 2 courses. Completion of Yang Chengfu’s Eight Five form (八五式). More Push Hands training – Double hand drill, developing Jin (劲,internal power).
Level 4: Continue to practice and refine the content learned from the Level 1, 2 and 3 courses. Focus on combining form and Push Hands together. This is where the essence and applications integrate with each other. In-depth training of Yang Chengfu’s Eight Five form (八五式) and it’s variations. In-depth Push Hands training (free pushing). Yang Style Tai Chi Sword form.
Level 5 (Inner Door Students Only): Continue to practice and refine the content learned from the Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 courses. Original Tai Chi 188 form (原传太极188 式) and it’s martial application. Continue Push Hands training to refine and reach a higher level.
